Note: Uncle Reg and family lived on a farm at Redbridge, north of Harden and close to Wombat, NSW. The lemon family owned much of the property in the Redbridge Area. Uncle Reg's property included some of the gold diggings associated with the Lambing Flat gold rush. He had bull dozers which were his main source of income and started a Cherry Orchard. He also had a shed full of "whippet" automobiles. My family originally owned a bush house at Gorracan near Toukley. Reg, Auntie Jess and the 3 children regularly had holidays with us there. Mum told me after Auntie Jess died in1972, Reg was associated with the Wombat Pub cooking and entertaining there. I can remember going to the saturday night dance at the wombat hall with the Lemons. Everyone danced. |
