Note

The following is an extract from a history of Henry by Joan Truelove of "Elmavale" Illabo NSW. Joan is the youngest daughter of Harry Truelove, Henry's eldest son.

John (Jack) Truelove second son of Henry and Annie, operated a steam chaffcutting business for some years, moving around the farms in the Illabo district. In 1902 - 3 he built the Federal Store and residence "Stellaville on the corner of Layton and Turland Streets Illabo, where it still stands today.
In 1903 John married Alma Nicholas, a teacher who had tought at Trevethin and Nangus schools, and together they ran the store. Their first three sons Jack, Noel and Max were born at "Stellaville".
In 1910 John sold the business to J.J. Nicholls and built a pise house, "home" in which Mr and Mrs Roland Day later lived for many years. Next John repaired and re-roofed a dilapidated pise building adjacent to "Home", formerly a shop and subsequently used for storing hay and chaff. Alma opened a sweets and drink shop in the repaired building.
Of their family of seven Jack, Noel, Max, Hazel and Norman attended the Illabo School but the two youngest Marjory and Joy, did not.
In 1922 when the three eldest boys were growing up and lokking for jobs, John, Alma and family moved to Sydney where John carried on a timber business for many years.
