Address: Grandma Ginnie died at 78 Belgrave St, Sylvania. We lived at the end of the street second last house. It was a riverfront fronting the Georges River where Sylvania Waters is now situated. Methodist Note: Grandma was cremated at Sutherland District Cemetery and her ashes were in a Rose Garden there. I regularly took my mother Hazel there to visit the memorial, place some flowers and polish the brass plague. |

Address: Marrickville Rd, Dulwick Hill Note: After they married, Barbara and Frank lived upstairs in a barber shop owned and ran by Uncle Sid. The location was about a 15 minute walk from my school at Summer Hill. I did stay there regularly with Barbara and Frank. On one memorial occasion cousin Robert Lemon from Harden came to visit and we stayed there together. Robert kept me up all night talking about the noises coming from Marrickville Rd as it was the terminus for the Marrickville tram line and the major stop for the Canterbury tram line. |
