The family was living in a railway house fronting the Yass Rd (Albury St). From George's death in 1917 to 1933 would have been traumatic. From mum's stories, grandma and the three youngest girls, Peg, Jessie and mum lived in a shop on the corner of Leland's Parade and Burwood Road, Belmore until Jessie and mum married in 1933. Grandma was at Peg and Syd's in Alexandria in 1939. Grandma then spent most of her time from 1942 with us at 9 Forsythe St, with occassional stays at Auntie Peg's in Brighton-le-Sands and Auntie Agg's in Harden.
